Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT’S YOUR MINIMUM ORDER QUANITY (MOQ)?
Every project CSL takes in is unique so we don’t have a MOQ. That said, we’re capable of handling as few as 10 units, or scaling up to 30,000+ per month.
WHAT’S YOUR TURNAROUND TIME (TURN-TIME)?
Whatever your timeline is, we can likely accommodate it. Our production is typically booked out 3-6 weeks, but we’re also capable of handling rush jobs when the circumstances demand it. When it doubt, contact us.
WHAT KIND OF THINGS DO YOU MAKE?
We primarily focus on sublimated and cut & sew athletic wear, team uniforms, and corporate promotional apparel. We also have in-house decoration services such as embroidery, screen printing (silkscreen), and appliques to enhance the look of our customers’ products.
DO YOU OFFER SUBLIMATED NEON COLORS?
No, we do not offer sublimated neon colors at this time due to lack of demand and high maintenance costs. However, we can offer a similar look using our standard Kiian Digistar ink.
DO YOU OFFER DOOR-TO-DOOR FREIGHT FORWARDING?
We ship door-to-door via DHL Air Freight on smaller order quantities. We can do ocean shipping on larger volume orders. However, our sweet spot is order quantities between 10-150 pieces.
HOW ARE GARMENTS PACKAGED?
We individual pack every garment in polybags with size labels, but we can also bulk pack (i.e. 6 or 12 pieces per polybag). We can work with your packaging requirements.
DO YOU HAVE UPC OR BARCODING CAPABILITIES?
We can if required.
WHO DO YOU USE FOR MATERIAL TESTING?
Our suppliers provide us with their own in-house reports. We can also use third party testing companies such as SGS.
DO YOU HAVE CLASSIFICATIONS OF ALL ITEMS WITH US CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION (CBP)?
All quoted prices to the US are Landed Duty Paid (LDP) on air shipments. Our shipping department has a list of Customs Classification/HS codes on popular garments such as shirts, shorts, jerseys, jackets, pants, socks, etc. However, we can work with you to determine a specific class/HS code.
I AM STARTING MY OWN CLOTHING LINE, IS CSL A GOOD FIT FOR ME?
Unfortunately, no. In order to meet our existing customers’ production orders, we are unable to accommodate the attention and resources needed to work with emerging designers. We suggest working first with a tailor or sewer in your area to develop your designs.
CAN YOU MAKE ME A CUSTOM SHIRT?
CSL is a lot of things, but we’re not a custom clothier. At this time, we aren’t able to produce bespoke garments for individuals.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH CSL?
We are an independent, family-run, second generation business. You talk to the owners, Adam and Ben Clark. Our parents, Peter and Melody Clark are still very involved with the company. We follow ALL labor codes and DO NOT use sub-contractors. Our factory is located in Clark Freeport Zone (special economic zone) in Angeles City about 80 KM (50 Miles) from Manila, which takes about 1-1/2 to 2 hours for driving.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF SOURCING IN THE PHILIPPINES?
The Filipino workforce is one of the most compelling advantages the Philippines has over any other Asian country. With higher education priority, the literacy rate in the country is 94.6% - among the highest. English is taught in all schools, making the Philippines the world’s third largest English-speaking country.
The Philippines is located right in the heart of Asia - today the fastest growing region. It is located within four hours flying time from major capitals of the region. Sited at the crossroads of the eastern and western business, it is a critical entry point to over 500 million people in the ASEAN market and a gateway of international shipping and air lanes suited for American and European businesses.
A well-developed communication, transportation, business and economic infrastructure links the three major islands and distinguishes the Philippine economy. Highly accessible by air, water and cyberspace, liberalization of inter-island shipping and domestic aviation further sparked improved facilities and services. The container terminals are suited to handle cargo traffic at the highest levels of efficiency.
Communication provides redundant international connectivity 24/7 with fiber optic cable as primary backbone network and satellite as backup. Economic reforms emphasize regional growth, converting remote areas into business centers.
Discover the best of sun, sea, sand and style in the tropical setting teeming with the best of western amenities. The Philippines is second home to expatriates who enjoy the company of the warmest people in the region, the country's openness to varied cultures and a decidedly global outlook.
